FCAP Lecture Series presents Dr. Andrew Rasmussen on October 12

The Fordham Council of Applied Psychometrics (FCAP) presented Andrew Rasmussen, Ph.D., as the next speaker in the FCAP Lecture Series. Dr. Rasmussen is an Assistant Professor at NYU Medical Center and known for his work as the Research Director of the Bellevue/NYU Program for Survivors of Torture. He presented on the topic of "Social Networks & Health Among Refugees in New York City."

2011 Anastasi Lecture set for October 25

The highly anticipated 2011 Anastasi Lecture series invited Robert J. Mislevy, Ph.D. to speak to the Fordham community. Dr. Mislevy is the Frederic M. Lord Chair in Measurement and Statistics at Educational Testing Service (ETS) and Professor Emeritus at the University of Maryland at College Park. His talk is entitled, "Some Implications of Expertise Research for Educational Assessment."

FCAP Presents Mark Gierl, Ph.D. to Speak on Wednesday 9/20

Fordham Council on Applied Psychometrics (FCAP) presented guest speaker, Mark Gierl, Ph.D. Dr. Gierl is the Director of the Centre for Research in Applied Measurement and Evaluation (CRAME), University of Alberta. He presented on "Using the Attribute Hierarchy Method to Make Diagnostic Inferences about Examinees' Cognitive Skills in Mathematics."

3rd National Psychotherapy with Men Conference to be held at Fordham

The 3rd National Psychotherapy with Men Conference (PMC) will be held June 9th, 2012 in New York City at Fordham University Lincoln Center. Keynote speakers are James M. O'Neil, Ph.D., University of Connecticut and Douglas C. Haldeman, Ph.D., Seattle, WA. The conference is being presented by APA Division 51, Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinity.

Dr. Jay C. Wade of Fordham University and Dr. Mark S. Kiselica of The College of New Jersey are coordinating the conference.

Fred Wertz, Ph.D., Professor and Undergraduate Chair of Psychology at Lincoln Center, has a new book that was just published by Guilford Press: Five ways of doing qualitative analysis: Phenomenological psychology, grounded theory, discourse analysis, narrative research, and intuitive inquiry.
